One family, two mills, four decades — the story of how a small Vasad millstone became Gujarat's trusted Double Morli brand.
Our Legacy
Two mills. One family. One promise.
What began as Navjivan Mill in 1980 grew into the Double Morli brand in 1983, embraced Shrinathji Dal Mill in 1993, and was reborn through a full modernization in 2006. In 2018 the two houses merged under one name — Shrinathji Dal Mill — carrying the Double Morli sunburst into a new generation.
Today, the second generation runs the same stones with the same rule our founder wrote on the mill wall: never chase volume, chase the perfect grain.
Our Roadmap
The road from 1980 to today.
- 1980
Navjivan Mill started
On 12th December 1980, our founder lit the first millstone in Vasad. Navjivan Mill opened its doors with one promise — clean, honest dal for every home.
- 1983
Double Morli brand started
Three years of earning trust, sack by sack. The Double Morli brand was born — a name that would soon mean premium toor dal across Gujarat.
- 1993
Acquired Shrinathji Dal Mill
Growth with roots. We acquired Shrinathji Dal Mill, bringing two legacies of Vasad milling under one roof and doubling our craft, not our compromises.
- 2006
Building & machinery upgraded
We rebuilt our facility and installed the latest cleaning, destoning and sortex grading machinery — tradition, powered by technology.
- 2018
Navjivan & Shrinathji merged
Two mills, one name, one family. Navjivan and Shrinathji merged to become Shrinathji Dal Mill — the home of the Double Morli brand you see today.
- 2026
Now we are here
