- 1 cup toor dal

- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp tamarind paste
- 1 tbsp mustard seeds

- 1/2 cup toor dal
- 1/2 cup rice

- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp ghee
- Salt to taste
- Water (3-4 cups)
